The National Arts Council (NAC) organises as well as collaborates with partners to bring the arts to where people work, live and play. Through partnerships with artists, corporations and community partners, NAC aims to bring arts to all segments of the population, everywhere and every day. These programmes include Arts for All - for different segments of society; Noise Singapore - for youths; Silver Arts - for senior citizens; Arts@Work - for people at the workplace; and ArtReach - for the social service sector.
NAC also works in partnership with Community Clubs/Centres, Community Development Councils and voluntary welfare organisations to spark and support new arts initiatives that will enhance community bonding and energise community spaces.
NAC also works closely with the Ministry of Education and partners such as arts groups and artists to advocate for quality arts education to be an integral and integrated part of all schools. NAC believes that arts education plays a vital role in the social, emotional, and cognitive development of our children. Engagement with the arts provides opportunities for deep learning which caters to different student needs, interests, strengths, talents and aspirations.
