Yes, the Sheriff is empowered to break any door or window to enter a property while enforcing his duties.

Yes, as the Sheriff is acting on the orders of the court. However, the tenant will usually be given some time to move out from the property.

Yes, items seized by the Sheriff will be auctioned at the place of seizure during a Sheriff’s sale. The notice of sale will be posted on the Supreme Court’s website as well as at the place of seizure. If the value of the goods to be auctioned exceeds S$2,000, an advertisement will also be published in The Straits Times. Payments for goods purchased are to be made in cash only.
