i) A minimum of two tray return stations/racks (one halal and one non-halal) should be installed should there be food stalls serving halal and non-halal food If Owners/operators do not have halal food stalls, a minimum of one tray return station/rack would suffice. An alternative to tray return stations/racks would include a central tray/crockery collection point.
ii) Tray return stations/racks must be stable or secured to ensure safety
Owners/operators may also choose to bolt or chain the tray return stations/racks to prevent toppling and injury.
iii) Tray return stations/racks should not be placed at the common walkway
There should be no blocking or obstruction of common walkway.
iv) Implement a cleaning system/routine
Owners/ operators should ensure tray return stations/racks are effectively utilised and cleared regularly to prevent birds and pest infestation.
