Singapore adopts a long-term approach in the planning of our airport. Minister of State for Transport will be chairing the Changi 2036 Steering Committee that will develop a Concept Plan for Changi’s growth over the next quarter century.
The C2036 Steering Committee will provide strategic direction on how Changi can support Singapore as a vibrant global city well into the future. This will subsequently guide the detailed planning for Changi Airport’s future development. In the meantime, we will also work with the relevant stakeholders towards ensuring that service standards at Changi remain at levels that are expected of Changi Airport. This would include putting in place measures to improve runway efficiency and the expansion / redevelopment of existing passenger terminals.
