What are the selection criteria?
We consider several factors in determining the suitability of applicants. Excellent academic and co-curricular achievements, strength of character, and commitment to excellence are some of the attributes we look out for. Above all, applicants must have a passion for engineering and science and have a keen interest in defence science and technology.

What is the selection process?
Our selection process typically involves panel interviews and tests administered by our Assessment Centre.
Must I secure a place at a university before applying for the scholarship?
No. But female applicants (who do not have to serve National Service) should have already applied for the universities during the scholarship application period as university application results are typically released in late March or early April.

Can I pursue a Master’s Degree immediately after my undergraduate studies?
Yes, we strongly encourage you to pursue a Master’s Degree as long as you are able to complete your Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees within the stipulated sponsorship period of four years.
What is my first job assignment after my studies?
Your job assignment is based on your course of study and the need for a spread of talent across the Defence Technology Community (DTC). As part of your career development plan, there may be rotation opportunities to other organisations in the DTC.
