TCM Practitioners on Conditional Registration
1.
What are the conditions for TCM practitioners on conditional registration?
i)
TCM practitioners on Conditional Registration can only practise TCM at the approved place of practice.
ii)
The registration of TCM practitioner on Conditional Registration will lapse upon resignation / termination of employment / departure from their approved place of practice, including any period of no-pay leave taken.
iii)
TCM practitioners on Conditional Registration must submit fresh application for registration before they are allowed to change their employer or place of practice.
iv)
Conditional registration is granted on yearly basis, and extension is subject to the approval of the TCM Practitioners Board.
v)
Application for the extension of Conditional Registration should be submitted at least 1 month before the expiry date, with the support of an assessment report from the Supervising TCM Practitioner and proof of fulfilment of conditions, where applicable.

2.
When can a TCM practitioner on Conditional Registration apply for Full Registration?
TCM practitioners on Conditional Registration may apply for full registration if they have satisfied the following criteria:
For Singaporeans:
Completed 1 year of practice under Conditional Registration under the supervision of an approved supervising TCM practitioner at an approved place of practice.
For Non-Singaporeans & Permanent Residents:
Completed 3 years of practice under Conditional Registration under the supervision of an approved supervising TCM practitioner at an approved place of practice.
Application for conversion to Full Registration must be made by filling the Application for Registration Form accompanied by the following:
i)
Payment of prescribed application fee;
ii)
Recent assessment report from the approved Supervising TCM Practitioner; (
The present employer should submit the report directly
to the TCM Practitioners Board under confidential cover.

iii)
Support certification from the present employer.

3.
Are TCM practitioners on Conditional Registration allowed to change employer or place of practice?
TCM practitioners on Conditional Registration are allowed to practise only at the approved place of practice. They are not allowed to change the employer or place of practice unless with the approval of the TCM Practitioners Board.

4.
What should a TCM practitioner on Conditional Registration do if he/she wants to change the employer or the place of practice?
TCM practitioners on Conditional Registration who wish to change employer or place of practice must submit a fresh application for registration before they are allowed to join the new employer or change the place of practice. The fresh application form must be submitted through the potential new employer or the present employer (if the change of place of practice does not involve the change of employer) with the following:
i)
New employer's/present employer's offer/contract of employment;
ii)
Payment of prescribed fees for application, registration and practising certificate;
Recent assessment report from the approved Supervising TCM Practitioner.
(The present employer should submit the report directly to the TCM Practitioners Board under confidential cover.)
