Are medical certificates issued by registered TCM practitioners recognized?
As terms of employment and medical leave are contractual agreements negotiated between employers and employees, recognition of medical certificates issued by registered TCM practitioners is to be decided between the employers and the employees.

3.
Are TCM Practitioners required to submit the names of their clinics to the TCM Practitioners Board for clearance and approval?
Under Ethical Guideline 4.4.8 (e), the names of TCM clinics (in English and Chinese), operated by registered TCM practitioners, are to be submitted to the TCM Practitioners Board for clearance and approval.
TCM Practitioners are advised to submit the proposed names for their clinics (in both English and Chinese) to the Board for approval before proceeding to register with the Accounting and Corporate Regulatory Authority (ACRA), including the change of names of existing clinics.

4.
What are the conditions for TCM practitioners on conditional registration?
i)
TCM practitioners on Conditional Registration can only practise TCM at the approved place of practice.
ii)
The registration of TCM practitioner on Conditional Registration will lapse upon resignation / termination of employment / departure from their approved place of practice, including any period of no-pay leave taken.
iii)
TCM practitioners on Conditional Registration must submit fresh application for registration before they are allowed to change their employer or place of practice.
iv)
Conditional registration is granted on yearly basis, and extension is subject to the approval of the TCM Practitioners Board.
v)
Application for the extension of Conditional Registration should be submitted at least 1 month before the expiry date, with the support of an assessment report from the Supervising TCM Practitioner and proof of fulfilment of conditions, where applicable.

5.
How frequent is the conduct of STRE?
STRE is conducted once a year. Candidates will be informed on the dates in advance.
