Will additional increments be granted for my past working experience?
Yes, relevant or useful experience will entitle you to salary increments.

If I have a Masters Degree, will my entry grade and salary be based on my Masters degree?
For graduate appointments, your entry grade and salary will be based on your first degree. However, additional increments may be granted for post-graduate qualifications on a case-by-case basis.

Probation

How long is the probation period?
The probation period for officers appointed into permanent service is one year.

Training

Will training be provided?
Yes, all officers are entitled to 100 hours of training per year.

What types of training will be available?
Besides specific training relevant to your area of work, courses on management, IT and personal development are also available.

Retirement Age

What is the retirement age for Civilian Officers working in the Singapore Police Force?
The retirement age for all Civilian Officers is 62 years old.

In the event of resignation, how long is the notice period?
You will need to give one-month notice.
