The iPSLE is intended for pupils in overseas schools that adopt a
curriculum similar to the Singapore school curriculum. It is the international version
of the Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) taken by pupils in Singapore
at the end of 6 years of education in a primary school.
There is no maximum age limit for candidates taking the iPSLE.
Six subjects are
available in the iPSLE: English Language (EL), Mathematics (MA), Science (SC),
Chinese Language (CL), Malay Language (ML) and Tamil Language (TL). Pupils may
sit a maximum of 4 subjects.
Pupils may register for the iPSLE with overseas examination centres appointed by the Singapore Examinations and Assessment Board. A list of the overseas examination centres can be found athttps://www.seab.gov.sg/home/services/ipsle.
Pupils are not allowed to sit the
Singapore PSLE and iPSLE in the same year of examination. Those who are
found to have registered for Singapore PSLE and iPSLE will only be
allowed to sit the Singapore PSLE. The application to sit the iPSLE will
be rejected and no refund will be made to the applicant. If a candidate sits
both the PSLE and iPSLE in the same year, the results of the iPSLE
will be nullified and no appeal will be entertained.
