a. Standalone modular courses which are independent of existing programmes. These include new modular courses which are mounted in response to industry skills demand and do not stack towards existing full qualification programmes; and
b. Modular courses drawn from existing part-time or full-time full qualification programmes.
The bridging programme has been designed to strengthen the academic foundations of trainees to allow them to better cope with the rigour of the diploma courses. These bridging programmes are not avenues for general academic upgrading, and hence they are only available to students that have been granted provisional admission by the polytechnic.
