To make an application to the Public Trustee for assistance in the administration of a deceased person's estate, please submit the appropriate application forms online and send the Public Trustee copies of the supporting documents as listed in the application forms:

How are the monies from a deceased person's estate that is administered by the Public Trustee distributed?
|
|
The Public Trustee will distribute the monies from a deceased person's estate in accordance to the Intestate Succession Act for non-Muslims and the Inheritance Certificate from Syariah Court for Muslims.

What services do the Public Trustee provide in the administration of a deceased person's estate?
|
|
- Administration of Small Estates of Deceased Persons where the value of the estate does not exceed $50,000.
- Administration of CPF Monies of Deceased Persons who have not nominated any beneficiary or who have nominated beneficiaries who are below 18 years of age.
- Acting as Trustee of Monies for the benefit of Minor Beneficiaries from the administration of estates of Deceased Persons or CPF monies.

What are the fees the Public Trustee charges in the administration of a deceased person's estate?

The fees chargeable under the Public Trustee (Fees) Rules for the administration of assets other than CPF Monies are as follow:-
For the first $5,000 in the estate - 6.50% For the next $2,000 - 6.00% For the next $3,000 - 4.25% For the next $10,000 - 2.75% For subsequent amounts - 2.25%
These fees cannot be waived.
