If you have a dispute and wish to try mediation, you can contact our hotline (Tel: 6325 1600) for more information. Our trained staff will assess the problem to see if it is suitable for mediation at the Centre.

How does mediation work?
|

Mediation sessions are conducted by one or two mediators who help the parties to identify and focus on the issues in disputes. The mediator's role is to facilitate communication and help the parties explore the range of settlement options.

The Community Mediation Centre is an agency operated by the Ministry of Law. It aims to provide an informal and amicable way of settling inter-personal, social and community disputes between people.

Who mediates during the sessions at the Community Mediation Centre?

The Community Mediation Centre has a panel of carefully selected and trained volunteer mediators. They are respected members of society coming from all walks of life, including professionals and grassroots leaders. Our mediators also speak most of the commonly used languages in Singapore, including various dialects.
