course is intended for ITE graduates to update their skills and knowledge in a specialised and/or new technological area.

Course?
You will receive a
Post-Nitec
Certificate upon successful completion of a course and upon passing the examination.

Post-Nitec
Course?
(a) Short duration (between 30 hours to 75 hours);
(b) Flexible training schedules (under part-time or Fast Track mode) and
(c) Award of
Post-Nitec
Certificate upon passing the assessment.

What are the main differences between a
Post-Nitec
Course and other
Nitec/Higher Nitec/Master Nitec
courses?
There are 2 main differences:
(a) The
Nitec/Higher Nitec/Master Nitec
courses provide broad-based training in a wide range of occupational areas.
Post-Nitec
Courses, on the other hand, cover skills and knowledge in a specialised or new technological area.
(b) The
Nitec/Higher Nitec/Master Nitec
courses are typically completed over a period of 2 to 4 years.
Post-Nitec
Courses, on the other hand, may be completed within 1 month or 6 months under Fast Track or part-time mode respectively.

Where does
Post-Nitec
Certification fit in in the new ITE certification system?
In the new ITE certification system, there are three main levels of training, with certification titles:
Nitec/Higher Nitec/Master Nitec
.
Post-Nitec
is not another level within the system for vertical progression.
Post-Nitec
Courses, which focus on skills and knowledge in a specialized and/or new technological area, may be likened to that of Post-Graduate Certificate courses offered by the polytechnics or universities.

Course is about 30 to 75 hours. Training may be completed within 2 weeks or spread over 3 months.

Yes, the new
Post-Nitec
Certificate is a formal qualification awarded by ITE. The industries and relevant organisations have been informed by ITE on the launch of
Post-Nitec
Courses.

What is the fee for a
Post-Nitec
Course?
The fee ranges from $405 to $905 per course.

Are there any training grants for employers who sponsor their employees for the
Post-Nitec
Course?
Yes, employers who sponsor their employees for the
Post-Nitec
Course may apply for course fee reimbursement and support for absentee payroll under the existing Skills Development Fund (SDF) and Skills Redevelopment Programme (SRP) funding provisions.
