What is Landscape WSQ? The landscape industry is one of the first sectors to implement the Workforce Skills Qualifications (WSQ) system, developed in collaboration with the Workforce Development Agency (WDA), to provide quality and affordable skills training. WSQ builds on efforts by NParks and CUGE to professionalise and modernise the landscaping industry, by formalising skills training and certification for all levels of the landscape workforce. It also identifies competencies needed by workers to stay employable, and provides highly focused training programmes to bridge specific skills gaps. 2. How will the existing NSRS trained workers be moved on to achieve WSQ? We will work with the employers to schedule workers who have NSRS training to achieve the WSQ Certificate in Landscape Operations. Workers with NSRS certificates will be given recognition for their skills training when they seek a certification in WSQ.
