The S1 Posting Exercise is conducted in 3 phases, starting from the 3rd/4th week of November after the release of Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) results and ending with the release of the posting results in the 3rd/4th week of December. The actual dates of the PSLE results release and posting results release will be made known through the media. You may refer to the National Examinations Timetable for more information.

Students are posted to secondary schools based on merit. Student with a better aggregate score will be considered for admission first subject to the availability of vacancies in the selected school. If there are no more vacancies, then the student will be considered for his/her next choice school(s).
In situations where there are two or more students with the same aggregate score vying for the last place in a school, they will be posted based on their citizenship status (i.e. Singapore Citizens, then Singapore Permanent Residents, then International Students). If there is still a tie, say between two Singapore citizens, then posting into the school will be determined by a computerised ballot where each student is given an equal opportunity.
You will receive this message if your child did not take up Chinese/Higher Chinese at Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) but had entered a Special Assistance Plan (SAP) school as one or more of his/her school choices. SAP schools nurture students to be proficient in both English language (EL) and Chinese language (CL), and to have a good understanding and appreciation of Chinese culture. Students who did not take up Chinese/Higher Chinese at the PSLE will not be eligible to opt for any SAP school in the Secondary One (S1) Posting Exercise.Go to Secondary One Posting Exercise
