The Baby Bonus cash gift will be enhanced in two ways to better defray child-raising costs:
a) Introduction of a new “Baby Bonus Plus” of $2,000
For Singapore Citizen children born on or after 1 Jan 2015, the existing Baby Bonus cash gift will be enhanced with a “Baby Bonus Plus” cash gift of $2,000. The “Baby Bonus Plus” is intended to support parents 'out-of-pocket' caregiving costs during the first 18 months of a child’s life. These will be disbursed on the 15th and 18th month of birth to provide parents with more sustained support.
b) Extension of enhanced Baby Bonus Cash Gift (i.e. inclusive of the Baby Bonus Plus) to 5th and subsequent child
The enhanced Baby Bonus cash gift (i.e. inclusive of the Baby Bonus Plus) will also be extended to the 5th and subsequent child. The enhancement to the Baby Bonus cash gift is as follows:
Born between 26 Aug 2012 and 31 Dec 2014 (for each child)
Born on or after 1 Jan
2015 (for each child)
& 2nd Child
$8,000 (inclusive of $2,000 Baby Bonus Plus)

You can log in to Baby Bonus Online (www.babybonus.msf.gov.sg/parent) via "Services-Login" using your SingPass and to "View Account Summary". You can check the amount of cash gift received, and future payment (s).
You will also be informed of the scheduled cash gift payment via letter.
The Baby Bonus cash gift helps to defray the costs of caring for and raising a new born child. It is presently disbursed in three instalments over the first 12 months from the birth of the child.
Parents currently utilise a range of care options during the child’s infancy (first 18 months), from centre-based infant care to informal caregiving arrangements. To better support parents with out-of-pocket caregiving expenses during this period, the Government will enhance the Baby Bonus Cash Gift by providing a Baby Bonus Plus of $2,000 cash. This will be disbursed between 15th and 18th months after the child’s birth. The enhanced Baby Bonus Cash Gift (inclusive of the Baby Bonus Plus) will provide more sustained support to parents during the child’s infancy.
